  1. 5:55 I look forward to seeing image/video quality comparisons with Panasonic prime lenses, especially the PL 12mm f/1.4 (which I have but don't find it as sharp as the PL 15mm which I prefer for its IQ). I don't have a lens for 25mm focal length so this PL 10-25mm would fill that need. Need to come up with $2500 CAD. I'll deal with the 690g weight.

  2. I though I saw some focus breath! just look at the left corner? I would of been better if that was on a tripod when tested as when twisting the focus the camera moves from right to left!

  3. Great review! I would dearly love this lens but, because there is always a but, it is looking to be close to 3 grand in Oz when it ships. 🙁 What I did do a few weeks ago was pick up a cheap Viltrox speedbooster, Nikon to M4/3 for my GH4, so I can use with my old Nikon lenses. Specifically my Nikon 1.4 50mm. In my limited testing so far the amount of light it lets in is amazing. But this Leica lens… maybe I could sell the car 🙂

  4. I can't believe people would complain about a lack of dual IS with a wide-zoom when Panasonic and Olympus have the best IBIS aready. OIS is only significant for telephoto lenses when the camera is already stabilised, and such an ambitious and exotic lens as this would have had to compromise unnecessarily. I guess if someone wished to use it with a GM1 whilst caving it would be handy.

  5. Hey Ryan, could you do a small comparison with one of the Voigtländer lenses when you get your 10-25mm? I think about selling my 17,5mm Voigtländer and 12-35mm f2.8 to afford the new one and use it like you mentioned in combination with the 35-100mm.

  6. Right now I just use a basic setup of the Canon Rebel T6. Deciding which brand to switch to when I can afford to upgrade my gear. Thanks for sharing!

  7. Hope that you guys enjoy this first look at the 10-25 mm f/1.7 lens! This is obviously by no means a full review, but rather a quick look at some of the exciting features of this lens. Im excited to get my own production copy in August and compare to the Sigma 18-35 =)
